Ed Weiler Memorial

The family of Ed Weiler MC will be hosting a memorial in his honor at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council hall on July 10th at 11am.  The memorial garden committee and the INWC board have voted to add both Ed and Lynn Weiler to the memorial wall as a thank you for their long standing dedication to the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council. Their plaques will be added to the memorial wall.   COVID notice - currently the governor's covid guidance states that 75 people are allowed in the council at one time. Unvaccinated individuals are still required to wear facemasks at indoor gatherings. We will keep updating the covid guidance as we learn more from the Governor's office.

Volunteer Opportunity – Bear Lake Fishing Pier

The fishing pier at Bear Lake is in desperate need of repair! Spokane Valley Firefighters have generously donated supplies for this project, and INWC will be supplying the work team. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please join us at Bear Lake this Saturday (July 24th) at 9 am. Our projects are successful thanks to our dedicated volunteers. We look forward to seeing you at this event! Fishing and Grilling

It's Annual Picnic time again! As I promised, as soon as I had a date I would post it here and on the website. Fishing begins as early as you want. Launch at the public access adjacent to the resort any time. If you want to launch at the resort, the gate opens at 0800, and there may be a launch fee for non-military folks. Burgers, brats, condiments and buns will be provided by the Council. Please bring the family, a side to share and a chair! Please RSVP with the office, and plan on food coming off the grill by 1300. INWC September Membership Meeting

Please join us as we welcome Kyle Merritt from the City of Spokane as he introduces the SpokaneScapes program aimed at planting drought resistant landscapes that help with water conservation efforts in our area. INWC Junior activity will be hosted by the membership committee in our board room. The committee will be holding their fur and skulls interactive presentation to teach INWC Junior members about local wildlife. At this time masks will be required indoors per governor mandate.

Wheelchair Platform Installation – Blanchard Hump

After working with the Hancock Timber Group for many years coordinating the Disabled Hunter Program on their lands, we have received permission to install a wheelchair platform on one of their parcels, at Blanchard Hump. We will meet at the INWC Warehouse at 8AM and travel to "The Hump" and meet a WDFW private lands biologist who will assist us in the install
