Kids Fishing – Rod Assembly Night

    Featured April 30 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
6116 N Market Spokane, WA, United States

It's that time of the year again when we begin to look forward to the annual Kids Fishing Day event at Clear Lake.  The biggest hurdle to getting ready for that day is assembling all the rods we will be handing to every kid that comes to the event.  So, grab your needle nose pliers, multi-tool, etc and join the INWC, Fish & Wildlife, and other non-profits and gather at the INWC on April 30th, 5:30pm to 8:30pm.   Many hands make light work!  Isn't that what they say?  It's true!

Route Patrol – Brewer and Mitchell Mtns

    May 16

Feel free to join us for our annual volunteer work party to assist the Forest Service with keeping disabled hunter routes accessible. We will meet at "The Meadows" on Sand Canyon Rd, NW of Chewelah. This is a two-mountain project. If we have enough volunteers (yes, that means you!), we will send one team up Brewer Mtn, and the other team up Mitchell Mtn. Historically, there has not been a whole lot of work required on Brewer. If that team wraps their patrol early, they will meet up with the team on Mitchell and assist in completing that route before returning to camp. An advance crew will arrive at The Meadows either late Thursday or early Friday to scout the two routes and determine how much work/clearing is needed. Feel free to join us Friday night and spend the weekend. Clothing appropriate for the work and expected weather is required. Also: water/snacks for the patrol, as well as loppers, chainsaw, gloves, bug repellant, etc. Location: The Meadows https://www.google.com/maps/dir/47.650347,-117.2528421/48.383154,-117.636812/@48.0168306,-117.4982831,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m11!1m5!3m4!2zNDjCsDIyJzU5LjQiTiAxMTfCsDM4JzEyLjUiVw!8m2!3d48.383154!4d-117.636812!4m4!1m1!4e1!1m0!3e0?entry=ttu

Route Patrol – Aladdin Mtn & Squirrel Mdws – Father’s Day Special!

    June 20

Pack up the family and get them into the mountains for the weekend! In addition to clearing trail for disabled hunters, you get to spend some quality time with your family and other families - compete in a chili cook-off, play some cornhole, and learn some valuable outdoor skills like starting a fire, using a compass, and building an emergency shelter for survival. This is an all-family event. After we complete our route patrol for the day, be prepared to stay the night at camp where we will have a cornhole tourney and Chili Cook-Off, and learn some outdoor skills! We will meet at "Tiger Meadows" just off of SR 20, W of Ione. This is a two-mountain project. If we have enough volunteers (yes, that means you!), we will send one team up Aladdin Mtn, and the other team backtrack to Blueslide and work Squirrel Meadows, off of the Ruby Cr Rd. Both teams will rendezvous back at Tiger Meadows, just W of the Hanks Butte Rd for the above-mentioned festivities. An advance crew will arrive at Tiger Meadows either late Thursday or early Friday to scout the two routes and determine how much work/clearing is needed. Clothing appropriate for the work and expected weather is required. Also: water/snacks for the patrol, as well as loppers, chainsaw, gloves, bug repellant, etc. If you're staying Saturday night with us, bring a set of Cornhole boards! Come on! Join the crew! Fun, Forest, Food, and Fellowship! Let's get outside! Please RSVP with Lauren at the Office: 509-487-8552 or email the team at: access@inwc.org Location:https://maps.app.goo.gl/F2HgAyEh3MeCg3J46 See less

Route Patrol – Betty Cr & Boulder Mtn

    June 25 - June 26

Feel free to join us for our annual volunteer work party to assist the Forest Service with keeping disabled hunter routes accessible. We will meet at the open meadow near the gate to the 810 road up on Betty Cr. This is a two-mountain project. We will patrol the two routes with UTV's/Quads on Betty Creek first - both the 810 and 830 Routes. We will return to the staging area and establish a primitive camp for the night. The next morning, we will load up and head further up the road to a staging area on the Little Boulder Cr Rd. Then will overland with our UTV's and Quads over Togo Mtn to the gate on Boundary Mtn. From there we will patrol, have lunch at a site with an overlook of Grand Forks, BC, then return to the staging area and head home. Clothing appropriate for the work and expected weather is required. Also: water/snacks for the patrol, as well as loppers, chainsaw, gloves, bug repellant, etc.   Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/GfgYkPKmATqHgNA98
