Hunter Education

Whether you’re a young aspiring hunter or a parent helping your child take their first step into the outdoors, the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council’s Hunter Education program is the perfect place to start.
At INWC, we believe hunting is more than a tradition—it’s a responsibility. Our Hunter Education classes are designed to teach not just firearm safety, but a deep respect for wildlife, the environment, and ethical hunting practices. Students learn safe handling of firearms, archery gear, and muzzleloaders, along with basic first aid, outdoor preparedness, and wildlife conservation.
In 2024 alone, 124 students completed our program, and we’re growing! For 2025, we’re offering six sessions, including both traditional week-long classes and online options with in-person field evaluations.
