Big Game
From building fences to removing fences, the Big Game Committee has seen its share of wildlife projects over the years. What started out as an elk fence building project in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington so many years ago has turned into an annual work weekend and camping trip in the Wooten Wildlife Area. Instead of building fences we are now removing old barbed wire fences and pens from wildlife winter ranges.
Helping our State and Federal agencies that are charged with managing wildlife is what the Big Game Committee is all about. Whether its volunteering to help catch and radio-collar bighorn sheep, deer, elk, moose and bear, or going out to help clean guano from a bat condo, volunteers will always know that they are doing their part to help protect and conserve wildlife for generations to come.
