KIDS FISHING DAY

Our flagship youth event, Kids Fishing Day, is designed to introduce the next generation to the joys of outdoor recreation and instill a deep appreciation for nature. In 2025, we were thrilled to welcome approximately 1,000 young anglers, providing them with an unforgettable experience that goes beyond just fishing.
In partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), Kids Fishing Day offers a hands-on opportunity for children to learn about fishing in a safe and supportive environment. Every participant is given a fishing pole, bait, and expert instruction from passionate volunteers and professionals. Best of all, each child gets to take home their fishing pole, enabling them to continue their outdoor adventures long after the event.
But the real reward isn’t just in catching fish—it’s in the lessons learned along the way. Kids gain confidence with every cast, practice patience as they wait for a bite, and deepen their connection to the natural world around them. Watching a child catch their first fish is a moment of pure joy, a memory that lasts, and a step toward fostering a lifelong love for the outdoors.
Stay tuned for details about upcoming Kids Fishing Day events, and consider joining us to make this special experience possible for even more young anglers!
