The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council is committed to hands-on conservation that makes a lasting difference across our region. Every program we run is powered by passionate volunteers who believe in protecting wildlife, supporting ethical outdoor traditions, and inspiring the next generation of stewards.
Our Big Horn Outdoor Adventure Show is one of the largest not-for-profit events of its kind in the country. More than just a fundraiser, it’s a celebration of outdoor heritage—drawing families, vendors, and enthusiasts from across the globe to support the work we do all year long.
That work includes conservation-focused initiatives like Habitat Conservation, where volunteers restore native landscapes, maintain public access points, and improve conditions for fish and wildlife across Eastern Washington.
We’re also deeply invested in building the future of outdoor traditions. At Kids Fishing Day, young anglers experience the thrill of the catch while learning patience, responsibility, and a love for the outdoors. Through our Hunter’s Education efforts, we help prepare new hunters with the knowledge and ethics they need to be safe, responsible, and conservation-minded.
Our long-running Pheasant Chick Program gives members the opportunity to raise and release pheasant chicks, supporting wildlife populations while engaging youth and families in hands-on stewardship.
Accessibility is another core value of our mission. Through our Disabled Access Program, we work to improve access to outdoor spaces so that everyone—regardless of physical ability—has the opportunity to enjoy Washington’s wild places.
Our Legislative Commitee keeps members informed and engaged on the policy decisions that shape conservation and outdoor recreation across Washington. Whether it’s advocating for access to public lands or supporting science-based wildlife management, we work to ensure your voice is heard where it matters most.
These are just a few of the ways we turn passion into action. From education and outreach to habitat restoration and policy advocacy, our programs reflect a shared commitment to protecting what makes the Inland Northwest wild and wonderful. We invite you to explore them all—and discover where you can make a difference.
