Report from the 2005 Idaho Acute Care Nursing Survey:
In August, 2005, the Idaho Nursing Workforce Center
distributed a survey to the Chief Nursing Officers of the member
hospitals of the Idaho Hospital Association. The survey’s purpose
was to characterize the current nursing workforce in Idaho hospitals, as
part of a larger project measuring the demand for nurses in Idaho.
Responses were received from 40 of the 42 member hospitals, a response
rate of 95%.This report summarizes the results of the survey.
Final Report from the 2005 Idaho Nursing Program Survey:
This report
describes nursing education in Idaho. Information for the report
was collected through written surveys and personal interviews with each
nursing program director during September, 2005. All directors of
nursing programs in Idaho participated.
"Condition
Critical - Who Will Provide Your Nursing Care in Idaho? -2006"
is a brief summary of the INWC survey results. This
flyer has been sent out to legislators and other stakeholders in Idaho.
Treasure Valley Acute Care Nursing Projections, 2005:
During
January-March 2005, seven hospitals in the Treasure Valley were surveyed
regarding the size of their nursing workforce, the number of new
positions created over the past three years, and their turnover rate.
The original white paper written by
Dr. Julia Robinson in 2002 presented the first detailed look at
the nursing shortage in Idaho.
